CSA Distribution Tonight!
Hi All,
Hope everyone is well! See below for this week's produce list and notes from the farm:
- Red Kale
- Yellow Wax Beans
- Nabechan Scallion
- Purple Sweet Potatoes - Super Sweet and perfect for desserts or snacks!

- Fava Beans - Often thought of as a spring crop, we usually get another harvest in the fall. From what a few of our chefs are saying, this year’s fall crop is outstanding.
- Mixed Beets – A combination of White, Gold, Chioggia, Red & Forono Beets
- Rainbow Carrots – A mix of yellow, white and orange carrots
- Shunkyo Radish – A crisp white flesh with a hot, sweet flavor. Tops are tender and delicious!

- Angel Hair Squash - a smaller, flavor packed Spaghetti Squash
- How to cook Angel Hair squash:
Preheat oven to 400
Cut lengthwise and scoop out the seeds (you can roast them separately)
Drizzle with olive oil, salt & pepper
Place cut side down on a rimmed baking sheet
Bake for 30-40 minutes (until tender)
Let cool for 5 minutes, flip, and run a fork through the flesh, separating the spaghetti like strands.
Put in a bowl and top with your favorite sauce!
Look online - there are tons of great recipes. Since Angel Hair is somewhat unique, you can use recipes for spaghetti squash.
- How to cook Angel Hair squash:
- Cheese
- Yogurt
- Eggs
- Fruit Share
- Macoun Apple (1 bag)
- Grapes (1 clamshell)
- Asian Pear (1 qt)
A few reminders around pickup:
- Pickup will occur at 15 E. 27th Street (between 5th Ave + Madison Ave)
- Please be sure to wear a face mask or covering before entering the area!
- When you arrive, please check in with the staff member present (Rose Etienne) to make sure we count you!
- Pickup will occur between 4:30pm-7:30pm. If more than a handful of members are inside the pick up area, we may ask arriving members to wait outside or return shortly.
